Small Business Tracker | Updated as of April 15, 2020
Every Wednesday will be #TakeoutDay until restaurants can welcome us back into their dining space. Until then, bring them into yours.

We are currently living in unprecedented times, think back to just last week when we thought that the time change, full moon and Friday the 13th were going to create havoc. Now we are experiencing and witnessing the good, bad and ugly of society. I saw a meme recently that stated: “April Fools” day is cancelled this year cause no made up prank, could match the unbelievable s*&% going on in the world right now.” Personally, I like to focus on the good, the stories that make me smile and believe that there really are a lot of great people in the world (and after this, maybe there will be more).
We are hearing stories of families using their time to reconnect with the reinstitution of family game nights and dinners being shared around an actual table instead of in the car. Communities organizing a food truck delivery or rallying together to make sure the senior and at risk neighbours have everything they need. Musicians/Choirs organizing online live concerts where you can sing and enjoy in the comforts of your home. These are the stories that I want to hear.
We want to hear stories of what our local small business’ are doing, how are they thinking outside their normal process and comfort zone to stay in business now and into the coming weeks. What are our restaurants, retailers, fitness industry professionals doing to keep their employees and themselves in a job?
Now, more than ever is the time to support the businesses that donate to the local charities, sponsor the sports teams, provide golf tournament prizes, the list goes on. It is these businesses that are owned by your family, friends, neighbours.
We want to hear from you- what is your favourite restaurant and are they now offering take out and/or delivery? Grocery stores & pharmacies: what ones are offering delivery and offering shopping for seniors and at risk individuals. Small at home businesses that have been affected by the closure of the Home Shows and Craft Shows. Retail- do you offer online shopping or are you open and what are your hours? What can you purchase from them to enjoy or prepare for the upcoming Easter Bunny visit?
